What this film tells
When Bru's animated movie idea about a looming meteorite comes true, Bru & Boegie must stop the space rock using the power of their excellent music.

Director's Statement
Bru's a dumb white guy with dumb ideas. Boegie is his smart, sensitive black best friend. They live in South Africa. It's a laconic/deadpan absurdist comedy semi-roadtrip film with a South African twist, subverting the hero's journey 'happy ending' Western story stereotype. The message: even if we can't save the world, it's worth trying.
