AnotherStory is a curatorial studio and an editorial platform between Italy and the UK. Every film is selected by the editorial team and sits in a collection, alongside the writing that frames it in the Journal.

Film & moving image
Independent cinema, documentary, experimental work, fiction and animation with a strong aesthetic signature.
Contemporary art & visual essays
Artist moving image, photography, narrative soundscapes and transmedia work that reframes how a story is told.

Essays, criticism and visual writing for the Journal — the words that sit alongside the work.

Nothing is ranked by trend. Each film is presented in context, with a text beside it.

Anyone with a film they made or have the right to place. A long portfolio is not required; a first film is welcome.

Because a film here is seen, read and understood. It enters a collection, receives a text in the Journal, and reaches curators, festivals, galleries and readers in the UK and Italy.
You send a link and a brief introduction. We watch everything, and we reply to every submission within two weeks.
Preferably yes, especially for premieres. But we also consider works already shown elsewhere — if we believe they deserve a new spotlight.
No money changes hands, in either direction. Films are hosted under a free, non-exclusive licence: the work stays yours, with full credit and a link back to you, and you can withdraw it at any time. Commissioned films and partnerships are a separate conversation, agreed case by case.
We get in touch, we talk, we present the project properly, and we find the best way to highlight your work. Every author is different. So is every journey.
It happens. But it's not a closed door. Timing or fit may vary. We save resonant work and continue conversations if creators remain open.
