1. About these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the AnotherStory website, platform and related services (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Anotherstory Lab Limited (“we”, “our”, “us”), registered in England and Wales under company number 16650964.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

3. Your Account

• You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
• Notify us immediately at hello@anotherstory.film if you suspect unauthorised access.
• You can delete your account at any time from your profile settings. Deletion permanently removes your profile, watchlist, ratings, comments and watch history.

4. Acceptable Use

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Post unlawful, abusive, defamatory, harassing or hateful content.
• Infringe the intellectual property rights of any third party.
• Attempt to access, probe or disrupt the Service, other accounts, or the underlying infrastructure.
• Scrape, mirror or reproduce any content without our prior written permission.
• Upload malware, spam, or content that impairs the Service.
• Circumvent access controls, including signed video URLs or rate limiters.

We may remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, at our sole discretion.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit (comments, ratings, profile data). By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it on the Service for the purpose of operating and promoting AnotherStory.

Comments are moderated. We may reject or remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or our editorial standards.

6. AnotherStory Content and Films

All films, articles, images, logos and editorial material provided through the Service are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights, owned by AnotherStory or its licensors. Films are made available through signed, time-limited URLs for personal, non-commercial viewing only.

You may not download, copy, redistribute, publicly perform, or create derivative works from the content without prior written authorisation.

7. Pricing and Access

Access to the Service is currently free. We reserve the right to introduce paid tiers or premium collections in the future. Any change that affects the availability of your content or the terms of your access will be communicated in advance.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Supabase (authentication and database), Bunny.net (video delivery), Cloudflare Turnstile (anti-abuse), Resend (transactional email) and Upstash Redis (rate limiting). We are not responsible for outages or behaviour of these providers, but we select them carefully and take reasonable steps to maintain service continuity.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, AnotherStory and its officers, employees and affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, sections relating to intellectual property, liability and dispute resolution will survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts, without prejudice to mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
